Nice to Meet You!
My name is Dr. Melissa Yanovitch. In addition to seeing patients at Sea Level Psychology in Amsterdam, I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of New York, USA (023357). I offer both in-person and virtual sessions to clients in the Netherlands, especially English-speaking immigrants/expats who are looking for support while living abroad. My gezellig and welcoming office is located in Oostenburg.
I have experience working with a range of mental health concerns and diagnoses, and can tailor treatment to you. My training is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and I integrate psychodynamic principles and process-oriented approaches. This means that while I support you in using concrete skills to improve your quality of life, I also attend to the therapeutic relationship and our work is informed by your early life experiences.
I am well-versed in working with individuals who identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community and am honored to provide an affirming space for all gender identities and sexual orientations.
